The Soumaya Museum in Mexico City is an architectural marvel and home to one of the world’s most prestigious private art collections. Dermitzakis Marble Company proudly played a key role in this internationally acclaimed project, supplying over 10,000 m² of premium Thassos Snow White marble.
Designed by renowned architect Fernando Romero, the museum’s fluid, sculptural form is clad in more than 16,000 reflective hexagonal tiles. Inside, our Thassos marble defines the interior—its crystalline whiteness and polished finish bringing a sense of purity, light, and sophistication that perfectly complements the museum’s cultural significance.
Chosen for its exceptional durability and unmatched brightness, Thassos marble was used extensively throughout the building—across floors, walls, and ceilings—creating an immersive and refined space for visitors and art alike.
